Position Title:

Director, FFIP Programs Leader – Vaccines

Who You Are:

You enjoy working with cross functional teams in the industrialization of new vaccines and injectable products, defining new business processes and ways of working. Using both, your technical and business experience along with excellent leadership attributes, you will develop internal and external relationships to guide the team in the transfer of new products to our Fill and Finish facility. You have a keen eye for details, improvement opportunities and the demonstrated ability to implement processes that deliver our life saving vaccines to market.

The Team:

This role is part of the Manufacturing and Supply – Vaccines team located in Swiftwater, PA. Reporting to the Head of Drug Product Operations and a member of the Formulation, Filling, Inspection and Packaging (FFIP) Leadership Team; the Director, FFIP Programs Leader – Vaccines is the primary point of contact with external partners and internal colleagues and is responsible for the end-to-end introduction and industrialization of new and existing injectable drugs and vaccines to the Swiftwater Site. They will partner with leaders in the Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing Technology and Quality to bring lifesaving vaccines and injectable biologics to markets at industrial scale, by partnering with both internal and external Sanofi partners.

Job Highlights:

  • Develop and implement the project plan to introduce new products to the Fill and Finish facility by integrating the workstreams owned by Operations, Engineering, and Manufacturing Technology.

  • Work with Supply Chain to develop the business processes required to ensure manufacturability of new products at industrial scale.

  • Define the ways of working for the Swiftwater Site with external partners and own the business relationship in partnership with Supply Chain and Procurement through the project lifecycle.

  • Participate in the Lifecycle management of industrial assets and new product strategy.

  • Reports to the Head of FFIP Operations and is a member of the FFIP Leadership Team.

  • Indirectly lead the work of others as a project leader, may have direct reports in the role of project managers.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering or Business Administration

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the manufacturing of injectable pharmaceutical products

  • Minimum of 5 years’ supervisory experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ in Fill and Finish operations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Leadership experience with exposure to large complex organizations in Pharma environment

  • Strong understanding of technology transfer in a CGMP manufacturing environment

  • Strong knowledge of aseptic filling and packaging equipment

  • Project management experience leading technical projects or transfer of products to new lines

The Fine Print:

Approximately 5% travel for site visits, vendor relationship management, conferences, and training.
