Torch Technologies is currently seeking a full time Digital War Room Engineer. This position resides at Eglin AFB, Florida, and supports the Air Force Research Laboratory Munitions Directorate (AFRL/RW) modeling and analysis efforts. The successful candidate shall advise and assist AFRL in its digital transformation through expansive use of modeling and analysis to perform research, assess military utility and deliver products. The successful candidate shall:

  • Function as the linkage between the AFRL HQ Corporate Model Analyze organization and the munitions directorate (RW).
  • Provide comprehensive RW representation to the Digital War Room (DWR) Model- Analyze (M-A).
  • Represent RW at all Modeling, Simulation & Analysis (MS&A) forums and function as the focal point for RW in identification of other appropriate attendees.
  • Communicate the RW directorate position on DWR M-A matters.
  • Facilitate data collection to support ongoing study efforts and obtaining RW Subject Matter Expert (SME) assistance as needed for DWR M-A Studies.
  • Work with the RW Digital Program personnel as needed to ensure a unified Digital Transformation roadmap and plan between the AFRL DWR, RW, and key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with the RW Strategic Planning Division, Science & Technology Division, Technology Integration Division, and the MS&A community.



A bachelor’s degree in a technical field with at 3-10 years of experience is required. Master’s degree in a technical field is preferred. Years of relevant work experience may be substituted for advanced degree.

A background in modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) and or weapon system acquisition is required. The ideal candidate should be familiar with weapon science and technology concepts and have experience with strategic development planning processes. Familiarity with Digital War Room (DWR) Model- Analyze (M-A) activities, scenarios, and analyses is highly desired.

Applicants must have highly developed interpersonal skills to interact with senior levels of government and senior management of industry prime contractors. Experience using MS Office applications is highly desired. Applicants must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.

This position requires that candidates possess a TOP SECRET/SCI current security clearance to access classified information. Inability to maintain a TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance will result in a candidate being ineligible for these positions.
