Summary

The Digital Operator is responsible for running all digital printing and cutting equipment for the production of digitally printed and cut materials. The Digital Operator demonstrates a commitment to the PD core values of integrity, passion, possibility and the ability to work at the speed of retail.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

§ Fosters a culture that values family, innovation, collaboration and empowerment

§ Follows all safety and workplace policies

§ Reviews and understands job tickets

§ Sets up and runs digital printing and cutting equipment while insuring best possible production speed and quality

§ Monitors printing and cutting throughout the printing and cutting process

§ Inspects for defects in the printing or cutting process

§ Directs helpers and other employees as needed

§ Drives fork truck and other equipment to move stock and other supplies as needed

§ Follows all safety and workplace rules and policies

§ Helps others as directed or when needed with print and other production

§ Performs routine maintenance and assists with repairs of equipment

§ Knowledge of printing and print production including but not limited to file setup, printing, laminating, mounting, cutting and finishing

§ Knowledge of the setup and running of digital printers, UV printers, dye sublimation printers and cutters

§ Knowledge of the ink types and properties of each type

§ Knowledge of the common materials used and the properties of each of them

§ Ability to direct other team members as needed to increase productivity

§ Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems that arise during production

§ Strong basic math skills

§ Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment

§ Must be able to wear required Personal Protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time

§ Flexibility to move between other jobs, job classifications and buildings as directed by management

Education/Certification

§ High School Diploma or GED

Experience

§ 2+ years of digital printing experience

§ Forklift certification

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

§ Walking, sitting, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling and lifting may be required throughout the workday

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour

• Minneapolis, MN: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Digital Printing: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Forklift Certification (Preferred)
