The Digital Operations Marketing Manager for Safety & Productivity serves as the lead supporting digital marketing across business units, the group shared operations and leads digital planning. This business group role supports the brands: RIDGID, Greenlee, Klauke, and ProTeam. The Manager is responsible for vendor management and tool optimization, eCommerce capabilities, Product Information Management (PIM) strategy, and digital analytics and reporting to support business-level operations. This role will lead the optimization of digital commerce properties for conversion by developing enhancement plans to optimize the online experience of our customers. This leader will interface with internal and external vendors, work with a global team and support the strategic digital initiatives for Professional Tools and Emerson Tool Company.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Vendor Management & Tool Optimization
- Primary leader interfacing with current and prospective digital service and tool providers supporting marketing and product information.
- Provide vendor management support for Safety & Productivity, as well as Business Units. This includes negotiating competitive terms and pricing models and managing strategic vendor relationships.
- Manage the relationships between Emerson stakeholders, including Safety & Productivity marketing and e-commerce leaders, global support teams, and key third-party suppliers to ensure optimized focus on digital services provided.
- Liaise between business units and key technology suppliers on strategic initiatives identifying new areas of opportunities through project work and research.
- Develop and manage a roadmap of digital tools aligned with business strategy.
eCommerce Capabilities & Channel Integration
- Drive enhancements and continuous improvement of product catalog availability, account management, shopping cart functionality, where-to-buy, promotions, order processing, and user experience.
- Measure and communicate the impact of bottlenecks and breakage points in customers’ digital commerce journey.
- Identify and monitor key performance indicators to inform decision-making and optimize the conversion of eCommerce properties.
- Partner with marketing, sales, and IT, along with business unit stakeholders, to define and manage the capability roadmap for eCommerce and related foundations.
PIM Strategy
- Drive PIM/DAM adoption across qualified channel partners to improve productivity and meet e-commerce growth objectives. Support onboarding of new channel partners to expand PIM coverage.
- Collaborate with Salsify and Account Managers to define customer requirements, while guiding/supporting channel creation and mapping to 100% readiness.
- Drive the adoption and utilization of PIM within business units improving use of data feeds, workflows and support by various departments.
- Ensure direct eCommerce and PIM roadmap supports and aligns with broader digital journey and business strategy.
Digital Analytics, Dashboards & Reporting
- Partner with e-commerce leaders to ensure dashboards align with set KPIs and strategic initiatives. Regularly share insights and make recommendations to eCommerce and marketing teams.
- Develop and maintain reporting dashboards, utilizing data provided by direct partner connections, portals, and reporting tools, and regularly distribute to key stakeholders to make more informed decisions.
- Lead the development of in-house digital analytics capabilities including necessary foundation, and work with IT and marketing teams for relevant platform solutions. Help manage technology onboarding and integrations as needed.
- Identify top digital KPIs across the customer journey with a focus on value creation (Demand Generation, Sales Conversion, Customer Experience, Brand and Reputation) and develop a capability to measure.
- Partner with enterprise and business unit teams to deliver best-in-class reporting and dashboarding solutions for multiple levels of the business (marketing partners, business partners, executive leadership).
Flexible Work Schedule – Remote Work Option and Core Hours
This role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to three days a week and a core hour schedule dependent on your department and leadership approval. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00am - 3:00pm. Our teams work together to ensure our chosen work schedules enable our creativity and productivity as we serve the needs of our customers.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Information Systems, Information Technology, or relevant business field.
- Must be strategic, technical, and able to work within a matrix environment independently.
- Brings in-depth knowledge of eCommerce platforms, digital marketing tools, and techniques, with experience in B2B and B2C implementations.
- Able to promote a customer-centric online experience.
- Strong agility to plan at a high level, then prioritize and execute details of the plan.
- Ability to think strategically, lead cross-functional teams and execute tactics.
- Ability to devise actionable insights that translate into clear recommendations with associated implications for the business.
- Strong interpersonal skills to help negotiate priorities with project stakeholders. Excellent listening skills to understand and interpret stakeholder responses into business requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to apply analytics and critical thinking techniques to business problems
- Well-developed organizational, project management, written, oral, and presentation skills.
- Able to foster and build a collaborative working relationship with key partners and stakeholders.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
- MBA with a concentration in Marketing, Analytics, or a related field is preferred.
- Three (3) years or more of experience in enterprise eCommerce platform planning and implementation, or digital analytics.
- Deep understanding of IBM Websphere (HCL Commerce).
- Experience with Product Information Management systems (Salsify).
- Demonstrated experience working with Web analytics solutions, including Google Analytics, and familiarity with eCommerce conversion tracking methodologies.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and share the vision with direct reports and cross-functionally.
