Job Description Summary

The Digital Experience Leader, Learning & Development will own the strategy and vision for effectively embedding learning technologies and digital content/approaches to enhance development, transfer of learning, and behavior change across the enterprise. This role will serves as the key representative of GE Aerospace’s central learning team (and the enterprise) to improve the learner experience and utilization through application of learning technologies. This role will partner heavily with the GE Aerospace Workforce Experience & Insights (WE&I) and Digital Technology (DT) Teams to: 1) effectively define and evaluate new solutions for learning programs and offerings 2) optimize value and usage of current solutions 3) support the goals of all enterprise learning programs and offerings (onboarding, aerospace business system, leadership and management development, professional skills etc.) and 4) consider impact to the overall enterprise learning ecosystem and learner experience.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Establish an enterprise vision and strategy setting the standard for how learning leaders consider technology and digital experiences to maximize the impact of learning across leaders and employees.
  • Build playbook to ensure enterprise learning, leadership development, and technical learning maximize the impact of technology and digital to create a world class learner experience and drives maximum impact in building employee capabilities via faster skill acquisition and mastery.
  • Provides subject matter expertise and training to other learning leaders on the effective use of learning technologies and capabilities (could include creation of FAQs, instructional videos, virtual training) as a core consideration during program/content design. Develops policy, procedures, standard methodologies, and trainings for technology use as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge and provide thought leadership on learning technologies such as AI, AR/VR, chatbots, and recommend their application as needed; partner with WE&I and DT via VOC on technological monitoring/exploration, aiming to identify new technologies or approaches that maximizes the impact of capability acquisition.
  • Be a key partner in the learning program development. Partner with the learning program leaders, design team, and subject matter experts to conduct technology needs assessments and propose/deliver the most effective solution(s) to achieve results.
  • Understand the current learning technology ecosystem and how new technologies will play a role. Partner with Talent and Learning Product Managers and learning leaders to provide direction on the overall learning technology ecosystem future.
  • Support the implementation of learning technologies (e.g., Learner Experience Platform, Learning Management System etc.)
  • Provides team issues/feedback/concerns to Talent and Learning Product Managers to determine solution delivery and timeline; keeps learning team(s) informed
  • Lead efforts around improving Knowledge Management efforts through technology at GE Aerospace
  • Support GE Aerospace Central Learning team through best-in-class technology application and usage (e.g., support department events/activities including learning nominations, “LearnFest”, etc.).
  • Constantly improve learning experiences and products based on iterative delivery, feedback, and the latest industry research.
  • Partner with Talent Product Manager and HR Service Team to maintain vendor relationships with enhanced program-specific solutions.
  • Provide people leadership, coaching and development for direct and indirect report(s).

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 9 years of relevant experience).
  • 5+ years of working with existing learning technologies and support systems, for example collaborative learning software, learner experience platforms, VR, etc.
  • Ability to travel (domestic and internationally) approximately 15% time
