Dietitian duties and responsibilities:

As the Dietitian you will look at the facility’s dietary needs and provides answers to combat malnourishment and diets. Must ensure that proper courtesy is established when serving in-house residents. Knowing who that exact resident is and who’s to receive a menu-listed meal is crucial knowledge.

The Dietitian role is responsible for:

  • Coming up with a core meal plan for general residents, for special requests or for critical needs
  • Acting in the role of counselor and thus sustaining patient morale
  • Maintaining documentation from aides and management as a daily routine
  • Keeping track of what has or hasn’t worked for a resident, which is crucial to providing proper meals later
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of a workspace and proper use of utensils during food preparation

As the Dietitian you will be meeting with residents to build meal plans that follow their dietary restrictions and improve their health. You will work closely with residents to understand their dietary needs, preferences, and goals.

Dietitian skills and qualifications

Understanding of nutrition as it aligns with legal scope and standards. Knowledge of nutrition guides their daily decisions.

Dietitian education and training requirements

Education: Baccalaureate degree or higher in major course of study in human nutrition, foods and nutrition, dietetics or food management

Certification: Certification as a Registered Dietitian in in the State of Washington

Experience: 1-2 years experience working as a RD


Full vaccination against COVID-19 or a medical/religious exemption is required.


Salary/ Wage Range

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
