Position: Float / Dietary Aide

Salary

• $13/hr + opportunity to increase to $15 an hour with good attendance

• Full Time
• 32+ hours per week

Shift and Schedule

• 8 hour shifts
• Day shift
• Rotating weekends
• Monday to Friday
• Rotating Holidays

As a Dietary Aide, you will be tasked with:

• Preparing meals and beverages as directed by the Dietary Cook.
• Delivering restaurant-style service by setting up the dining area, taking resident meal-orders, delivering meals, and washing/sanitizing dishes.
• Reviewing resident’s dietary orders and resident preferences to assist in delivering quality, safe-to-eat meals.
• Making a record of resident eating habits, modified diets, and appetites to mitigate health concerns.
• Assisting with the cleanliness and maintenance of the dining area/kitchen.
• Following safe and sanitary food/beverage preparation and service practices.
• Setting up the kitchen to assist fellow aides/cooks in carrying out their daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Previous food service or preparation experience preferred
• Sound organizational skills
• A professional and courteous demeanor towards all individuals, including those with physical or intellectual disabilities
• A positive attitude towards dynamic scheduling and personnel needs
• Must be able to handle and lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, stoop, and bend repeatedly for extended periods of time
• Reliable attendance
