Introduction to AM General

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:

• Associate degree or formal CAD training in CREO. Entry level candidates shall be considered, prior education and/or training required.
• 1 year of experience creating models and drawings in CREO

(CREO Parametric 5.0 or newer, CREO 7 or 8 preferred).

• Ability and willingness to learn and retain Design skills and methods.
• Familiarity of Teamcenter Visualization and basic applications is desirable.
• Familiarity of PDM/PLM systems, Teamcenter and/or Windchill applications is desirable.
• Familiar with GD&T, descriptive geometry, CREO 2D drawing package.
• Ability to create 3D models of simple components.
• Ability to generate simple 2D drawings and make changes to more complex drawings based on checker mark-ups.
• Basic skills with Microsoft Office software
• Modify existing 3D Models.
• Create 3D models of components from a 2D drawing.
• Create 3D models with guidance and as instructed.
• Create 2D drawings of components and assemblies.
• Update file attributes in Teamcenter and or Windchill.
• Will be expected to create 3D parametric models using best practice modeling techniques that allow for easy editing by other designers in the future.
• Create new parts and revise items in Teamcenter and or Windchill.
• Apply AM General Standards and Procedures as outlined per program requirements.
• Generate assembly bill of materials (BOMs) in both CAD and Teamcenter.

PHYSICAL EFFORT

• While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
• The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
• The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• The employee must occasionally lift and or move objects up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to physically support a manufacturing environment through evaluation of on the floor issue resolution and

problem solving.

• Extended hours to support increased production may be required on occasion

WORKING CONDITIONS

• This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routine uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and copy, fax and scanning machines.

Travel Requirements:

Occasional Travel may be required.
