Jack Henry Data Services team needs you to join our team as a SQL Server Database Administrator! The team’s mission is to establish and execute the long-term technology strategy of iPay Solutions to provide the most innovative and efficient payment processing solutions delivered with unparalleled customer service and support. This position can be worked remotely within the United States.

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Maintains database environments; applies updates, maintenance packs, patches, & fixes for all environments.
• Provides data, SQL and general database assistance and guidance to developers, IT support and QA teams.
• Refreshes databases as needed by developers or functional teams.
• Performs database administration activities including installation, configuration, monitoring, space management, index maintenance, system optimization, security reviews, and disaster recovery.
• Applies data repairs as needed in production and non-production environments.
• May perform other job duties as assigned.

What you’ll need to have:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in SQL Server Database Administration (2016 or newer).
• Must be able to work weekends as needed and an on-call rotation.

What would be nice for you to have:

• Experience in the Scrum or other Agile framework.
• FinTech experience or experience working with data in a highly regulated environment.
• Experience as a SQL Developer.
• Experience with production support and manipulating data as needed.
• General knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Minimally, a general working knowledge of database software and operating systems.
• General communication, writing, and editing skills needed to transfer information to individuals involved in development process.
• General organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to write, modify, and review queries and advise others on best practices of query development.
• Able to provide guidance on physical and logical design patterns for relational systems.
