We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join our team!

JOB OVERVIEW

The Data Scientist will be responsible for supporting operations by analyzing large amounts of data, developing predictive models, and presenting actionable insights. The roll requires a strong background in either mathematics, statistics, or computer science, and be able to work independently to solve complex problems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze large amounts of data and develop predictive models using machine learning and statistical techniques.
• Be able to interact with a multitude of different systems and databases to extract and analyze data
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business problems and develop solutions.
• Continuously monitor and improve the performance of predictive models.
• Stay up-to-date with new developments and techniques in data science.

QUALIFICATIONS

Competencies and Experience

Required:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in data science or a related field
• Strong analytical skills and experience with statistical analysis and machine learning.
• Capable of working with large data sets, databases and using data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Essential programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner.

Preferred:

• Experience creating predictive modeling within an industrial setting.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark.

Education

Required:

• B.S. degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science or related discipline

Preferred:

• Masters or Phd in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related field
