Job Summary and Opportunity:
As our Data Technical Lead, you will join our Center of Excellence team which is at the heart of Axos' internal systems interfacing with various leaders in this high profile role. You will work with technical and business teams to understand the business requirements, functional, and technical specifications to design, code, and maintain new and existing complex SQL stored procedures and functions. You will be managing the Enterprise Datawarehouse (EDW) Production support team that would be responsible for monitoring/maintaining EDW production environments. The ideal experience will be 5+ years' working with relational Databases in a production environment. This position may be 100% remote, depending upon your location.
Responsibilities:
  • Work with technical and business team to understand the business requirements, functional and technical specifications
  • Design, code and maintain new and existing complex SQL stored procedures and functions
  • Performance tune existing stored procedures, tables and indexes
  • Work with other engineers to troubleshoot, repair and performance tune database
  • Review SQL code written by other developers to ensure compliance to coding standards and best practices as well as maximum performance
  • Create SSIS packages for data transformation, cleansing, caching, aggregation, staging, and transfer
  • Work with technical and business team to understand the business requirements, functional and technical specifications
  • Troubleshoot problems that may come up with database environments: performance issues; replication issues; or operational issues
  • Perform data analysis and data profiling tasks to provide support and recommendations for development and design decisions
  • Analyze and define data flow requirements and prepare applicable system documentation and operation manuals as needed
  • Support production data loads and ongoing refreshes of the database systems
  • Define, prepare, execute, and implement data validation and unit testing methods to ensure data quality
  • Maintain re-usable development standards that help implement each solution and/or enhancements to existing systems to meet current and future needs
  • Provide support to Network Operations during Production failures/ alerts
  • Perform enhancements and bug fixes as required

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 5+ years' working with relational DBs in a production environment
  • 3+ years' as a tech lead and/or manager, overseeing a team of direct report
  • Proficiency in C#
  • Experience delivering high quality, high traffic, scalable database objects
  • Expertise in SQL server design and development
  • Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, including complex data structures, data transformations and data analytics
  • Superior problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and the capacity to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to learn, acquire and utilize new technologies, disciplines and frameworks as needed
  • Technical expertise in the areas of data profiling, data mining and data analytics
  • Technical expertise in building reliable data ETL/ELT processes, query optimization and dynamic SQL

A targeted annual base salary of USD $100,000/Yr.. - USD $110,000/Yr. based on the experience, skills, and education/certification required for this position. Eligibility for a discretionary semi-annual incentive compensation plan, based upon performance, payable in cash and/or share grants (RSU’s) that may vest over time. The annual discretionary target bonus percentage is up to 20%.
