Position Summary

At Intellihot, we have more than just tankless hot water heaters. We have services to support water heaters as well. That includes the telliBot AI program. The telliBot is an equipment health predictor that will monitor the health and longevity of any water heater made by any manufacturer. In addition to the telliBot, this position is responsible for analytics for current connected water heater products. The connected water heater communicates all essential parameters of operation to our cloud system (temperatures, flows, firing rate, errors) via another service of ours, telliCare.

We have data on units 24/7/365. And we need someone to oversee all that data as well as oversee the product life cycle for the telliBots. Looking at how we build them, how they’re deployed in the field, and what the return process looks like. (Remember, this is a service, and not a product they buy. So we get the robots back!)

This position is much more than just crunching numbers and data!

Role & Responsibilities

  • You’ll need to understand all the telliBot functions in great depth (sensor connections, cloud connectivity, data storage/retrieval)

  • Maintain the BOM (Bill of Materials) for telliBOT AI and update the part numbers based on availability. You’ll need to know what it takes to build our products, where we get the parts from, etc.

  • You’ll be in charge of the production build process. You won’t actually have to build them, but you’ll have to understand the process and make recommendations or changes as needed.

  • You’ll also need to create reports for individual sites and fleet monitoring (based on templates we already created.)

  • You’ll oversee the whole product life cycle. This includes creating, maintaining and updating processes to manage returned units to be put back in circulation.

  • You’ll also be the go-to expert if there are questions from field technicians regarding installation.

  • You’ll be responsible for analyzing the data from all our current connected products from telliCare in ThingWorx and create usage profiles for the different application tyes based on cloud data.

  • Using actual usage and installed equipment data you’ll create reports on sizing recommendations.

  • And maybe some more cool stuff too! We’re a growing company so we plan our roles growing and changing.

  • Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
