What You Will Be Doing:
Primary responsibility is to bring data to decision making across the enterprise. Work closely with business leaders and data professionals in multiple departments in providing ad hoc reports and operations analysis of large data sets for making business decisions. Establish cross-functional relationships with Information Services to identify appropriate data sources. Produce recurring and ad hoc reports using a variety of querying tools. Learn and implement new tools including data analytic and visualization software products. Serve as a liaison between business partners and Information Services as needed regarding project management, reporting inquiries, and piloting new systems. Assist in the growth and development of Shelter’s new cloud analytics platform. Participate in data communities of practice at Shelter.

What We're Looking For:
- Superior analytical, investigative, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. MS Excel, MS Access, Snowflake, Tableau, and/or SAS experience and data analysis skills desired.
- Knowledge of SQL programming language and ability and aptitude to learn different technologies.
- Data analytics-related experience with ability to be inquisitive and creative; brainstorms alternative solutions and questions existing approaches.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to articulate needs and communicate insights.
- Ability to manage time effectively, maintain schedules to meet deadlines, and work well within a team environment.
- Superior interpersonal skills to effectively function in lead roles, train others on systems and/or procedures, and conduct meetings.
- Knowledge of insurance policies, procedures, operations, and philosophies, as well as business rules, regulations and applicable state laws is preferred.
- Ability to perform essential functions of the job, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
