Data Analyst (Remote)

We are looking for a Data Analyst to compile fatigue and alertness performance data from multiple sources, turn data into information, and prepare reports. The successful candidate will work closely with a project manager to develop analysis and reporting capabilities. This is a unique opportunity to grow with a small team and have a large impact on product success.

Pulsar Informatics provides real-time fatigue risk management tools to mission-critical or safety-centric workforces. Our team has pioneered research and development in fatigue risk assessment, working in a wide range of environments including commercial and business aviation, long-haul trucking, space exploration, and the military. We are building a team to scale our technology to address global markets across a range of industries.

Your role:

  • Filter and clean data by reviewing raw data sources, database exports, and script outputs to locate and correct errors
  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that support statistical analysis and reporting quality
  • Compile draft information reports for review by project managers
  • Discuss data analysis results and information reports with customers
  • Work with senior data scientists and business managers to identify and prioritize information product needs
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities

Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in math, science, or engineering
  • Knowledge of and experience with reporting software, databases, and statistical computing programs
  • Must be detailed oriented, a team player, and have strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
  • Must manage time and priorities effectively by completing tasks in a timely manner
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work under tight deadlines
  • Must be able to adapt to change

Flexible Work

Our teams operate fully remotely. A majority of our employees are in the Seattle, WA and Philadelphia, PA neighborhoods but we welcome new team members from anywhere within the US. We provide home office furniture if required, a computer workstation, and internet service cost reimbursement.
