Custodial, Maintenance, Grounds and Carpentry Compensation

PAY GRADE:
Range 7

SUPERVISOR:
Manager or designee.

SUMMARY:
Responsible for being available for AM or PM shifts to cover Building Engineers, or District custodial staff, in their absence; assist general maintenance staff. Develop and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Knowledge in various areas of custodial skills and minor maintenance repair.
2. Work with Building Principal, or designated representative, to coordinate work requests.
3. Responsible for snow and ice removal while covering for absent personnel.
4. Available for either AM or PM shifts.
5. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Valid Colorado Driver License.
3. Must meet insurability requirements of the Colorado School District Self Insurance Pool.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:
All certifications, licenses, and registrations must be valid and unexpired.

1. 1 to 2 years custodial or housekeeping experience.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

1. Good motor skills (hand tools and machinery used daily).
2. Lifting (up to 50 lbs.), daily moving of equipment, furniture and materials.
3. Pushing and pulling.
4. Repetitive motions/bending.
5. Climbing stairs, ladders and vehicles.
6. Squatting.
7. Overhead work as necessary.
8. Work at various heights.
