Job Responsibilities

• Complete all items on cleaning checklist to prepare facility for guests.
• Ensure building is secure.

• Sweep and mop floors strip/wax/buff floors where applicable.
• Vacuum and shampoo carpets.
• Remove litter and sweep parking lot periodically.
• Wash windows, entry doors and other surrounding surfaces.
• Clean and restock restrooms -refilling soap, paper towels and toilet paper dispensers.
• Dust and sanitize counter tops, vending machines, and chairs.
• Picks up debris, empty ashtrays and removes trash to outside dumpster.
• Replaces plastic trash can liners and lightbulbs, as necessary.
• Assist with landscaping tasks (i.e. mows/rakes lawn), as requested by management.
• Shovel snow from around entrances/exits, apply ice melt as needed.
• Perform painting and minor building repairs as requested by management.
• Follow safe usage directions on all cleaning products and chemicals used in the course of the job.
• Communicate with manager regarding cleaning problems and supply needs.
• Report all company violations to management.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred, but not required.
• Some previous cleaning/janitorial experience, plus the physical ability to perform job duties.

• The noise level can be loud and may contain lighting effects such as lasers and strobes.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time and able to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability/strength required to safely bend, reach, and properly lift trash/cartons and other objects.
• Ability to operate vacuum and other power-driven equipment (shampooers/buffers/lawnmowers).
