Job description
MPL Laboratories/EMSL Analytical, Inc. is currently seeking a Full Time Custodian for its Sparta, NJ laboratory location. This position requires someone who is dependable and reliable, detail oriented and takes pride in their work. The ideal candidate is someone that is hardworking, manages time well, and has janitorial experience.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform all phases of site cleaning/maintenace including: cleaning, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and dusting all areas of the building including laboratory areas, break room, restrooms, hallways and office areas.
Collect trash and recycleables from common areas of the facility and place in a dumpster.
Assist with cleaning the interior and exterior glass on doors, windows, window sills and window frames.
Maintain and restock inventory of cleaning supplies and products including paper towels, soap, hand sanitizer, toilet paper and other facility related items as needed.
Assist with other onsite operational tasks and site organization as needed.
Assist with preventative maintenance of laboratory/site equipment.
Assist with glassware washing in laboratory areas as needed.
Lift and carry general equiptment throughout site.
Notify operations manager of any items that require attention or repair.
Read and follow writted and oral instructions to include printed standard operating procedures related to position.
Adhere to all approved saftey standards to include wearing approved clothing and personal protective equiptment.
Requirements:
High School degree or equivalent is required.
Must have at least 2 years of related experience.
Must be able to lift, stand, reach, and bend.
Must be able to stand and walk for various lengths of times.
Must have a good attitude and be personable.
Must be able to multi-task.
Must be able to lift 35 to 40 pounds.
Must have great communication skills.
Available Shift:
Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m..
