The following are the major responsibilities of a Custodial Supervisor, but do not describe minor duties or other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time. Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills and/or abilities. The Custodial Supervisor has oversight of the housekeeping at the location

Duties & Responsibilities:

• 
  Ensures and coordinates custodial and housekeeping operations
• Maintains communication with direct manager and responds to request of departments
• Tours and inspects the facility to ensure cleanliness requirements are met in a timely fashion; addressing any outstanding tasks in real time
• Oversight of job orders and specifications to understand the materials and labor required to complete a task within each area respectively
• Works directly with team members to accomplish the daily and specific tasks
• Assure that team members have the equipment and supplies necessary to perform custodial / housekeeping services at the unit
• Reduce likelihood of significant disruption of housekeeping services
• Contribute to the overall success of housekeeping operations by creating a work environment that encourages respect for team members and development of skills

Working Conditions:

Work outside in extreme weather conditions as well as inside clean, well-lit, well-ventilated buildings. Lifting and supporting up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 200 pounds. Must be aware of the dangers of strains while lifting, pushing or pulling and while working with equipment. Must exhibit safety awareness in working areas with wet, slippery, floors and exposure to hazardous materials.

At times, the facility may be shorthanded. You may be required to fill in and you may perform tasks that are not part of normal function but are essential to the operation. When this situation occurs, you may not leave your assigned service area until you are relieved or the service has been completed and the area properly cleaned. I will not leave our Department until our service functions have been completed or I have been relieved.
