Contract Analyst II

This position will report to the Senior Attorney and is eligible to sit in Oakland, CA, Houston, TX, and Kansas City, KS and various locations across the U.S.
The Contract Analyst II position will be primarily responsible for providing contracting and compliance support to the North America branch of ENGIE’s Energy Solutions – Global Business Unit (“ES-GBU”) in connection with its public sector business providing energy solutions to customers.
What you’ll do:
- Facilitate the supplier qualification and subcontracting process for business partners including project managers and senior project managers
- Manage ISN contractor management database; oversee the compliance aspects of supplier qualification
- Provide guidance to business partners on contract risk level and use of the appropriate procurement contracting vehicle
- Facilitate the procurement process of services and materials via creation of master service agreements, subcontract agreements, master purchase agreements, master consulting agreements, confidentiality agreements and other vendor-related agreements for services and materials
- Assist with negotiating terms and conditions and service requirements within the time parameters of business partners and within policy requirements
- Assist Legal with negotiating and incorporating modifications and revisions into the master agreements and work orders
- Assist Legal with incorporating customer flow downs into vendor-related master agreements and work orders
- Create work orders based on legal templates; ensure payment and performance bonds are requested and obtained when required; ensure receipt of a contractually compliant certificate of insurance and /or assist with insurance variations
- Finalize subcontractor change orders, field directives and emergency field orders
- Interface with accounting and project analysts regarding supplier qualifications, new vendor set-ups, contract bookings, and invoicing and lien release issues
- Provide guidance on California Labor Compliance Programs / Department of Industrial Relations / Prevailing Wage requirements
- Interface with Labor Compliance regarding project specific labor compliance, PLA, PSA requirements
- Other tasks as assigned by manager
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Construction Management, Law, or equivalent discipline required
- A minimum three (3) years of experience required with a preference for those with previous general construction or renewable energy solar/wind construction experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications, databases, compliance policies, and procurement policies
- Knowledge of Public Works Construction Law

- Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy

- Salary Range: $61,455-$156,650, annually
- Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors
- In addition to salary, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan
