Excavation Project Manager/Estimator (Construction)
* Job Pay Commensurate to Experience
Seeking an individual who has exceptional communication skills, is self-motivated, and highly organized to join the growing team at Olin Excavation in role of Project Manager/Estimator. A professional who can lead a team through the project life cycle of planning, budgeting, scheduling, and tracking a project plan. Background in Excavation/Earthworks required. Experience in managing and estimation on Heavy Civil Excavation Projects preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Completing project pre-planning processes, such as cost estimations & budgeting.
- Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines.
- Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction means and methods.
- Accountable for the profitable and timely execution of all projects assigned.
- Ensures daily job records project documents are current and accurate, and entered through the project document control system.
- Resolve contract issues and conflicts timely with the project owner, suppliers, subcontractors and other project parties.
- Negotiating Contracts and Change Orders.
- Reviewing and ensuring contract compliance.
- Establishing and update Construction Schedule.
- Manage on-site Construction Personnel.
Qualifications:
- Strong analytic abilities
- Microsoft 365 Suite Proficiency
- Ability to Read and Interpret Blueprints
- Ability to Read and Interpret Specifications
- Knowledge of CAD software
- Experience in heavy civil contracts for public works and private owners for a variety of job types including site work, highway and road, utilities, airport
- Evaluate and assess results of a project
- Problem solving and leadership skills
- Project planning, budgeting, risk management, time management and other project management skills
- Proficiency in project manager software tools
- Contract negotiations
- Conflict resolution experience
Requirements:
- 5 years Excavation/Earthworks Experience
- 1 year (Preferred) Estimate Experience
- 2 year (Preferred) Heavy Civil Project Management
- Clean Driving Record, supplied prior to hire
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
