Overview:
The Construction Manager position is a key member of the Project Team and supports all administrative activities associated with the program. This position involves strong administrative and financial skills and the ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the project team(s), and other internal stakeholders. This position will work in HM systems and support financial reporting, and provision of support for procurement and other administrative functions. Responsibilities:

The Construction Manager position is a key member of the Project Team and supports all administrative activities associated with the program. This position involves strong administrative and financial skills and the ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the project team(s), and other internal stakeholders. This position will work in HM systems and support financial reporting, and provision of support for procurement and other administrative functions.
- Serve as main point-of-contact by establishing, maintaining, and managing subcontractor, and joint venture partner's expectations (where applicable) relating to project performance.
- Communication with Sub-Contractors on Schedule, Job Performance, Quality, Safety, Material Management along with Supporting and Attending Weekly Sub-Contractor Update Calls.
- Report project status and performance data as required to management, project sponsors and other stakeholders.
- Daily Project Updates are REQUIRED.
- Ensure strict adherence to all H&M Safety Policies, Procedures and Practices including Traffic Control and adherence and knowledge of all Muni, State & County Permit Requirements - Ongoing List of Local, State & County Permit Contacts and Inspector Relations is encouraged.
- Plan, monitor, and control the project execution throughout its lifecycle (bid, contract award, engineering/design, procurement, construction, and close out).
- Construction Management is responsible for the A-Z Completion of ALL construction projects awarded to Sub Contractors/Craft Crews within your area.
- Close Out and Approval of Close Out Documents (Redlines, Contract Deliverables, etc. CM is responsible for the quality and consistency of these close-out items).
- Review design and specification documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Permit Review and Proper Notification is the responsibility of the Construction Manager.
- Compliance with Local MUNI, STATE, and COUNTY Requirements Needs to be met or exceeded - Includes but is not limited to Traffic Control, Work Restrictions (Frost Laws, Day/Night Requirements, Weekend Requirements, Weather, Etc.)
- Prepare reports as required by customers and/or management.
- Lead role in the optimization of construction practices, constructability reviews, and tracking.
- Preconstruction Ride outs are required before being sent to a Sub-Contractor.
- Understand and assist in the development of project scope and estimates.
- Knowledge of QA/QC and Safety programs including implementation, auditing, site evaluation, and coaching.
- Construction Management is responsible for working with Safety Team with implementing and following Henkels Policy for safe work programs and continued on-site project-related safety items.
- Project Functions Including but not limited to FTQ360, SharePoint, H&M Portal and all other MS OFFICE required software to complete project compliance and needs. Other Client programs/online systems will be dealt with on case-by-case basis but will be required.
- Five or more years of experience in a lead role.
- Construction management, project management, project controls, or project (field) engineering.
- Five or more years in telecom construction experience.
- Very detail oriented and skilled at multi-tasking to complete several deadlines accurately and on time.
- Understanding of computer-related software for tracking and reporting is a plus.
- Ability to travel as necessary and on extended assignments to facilitate the implementation of the project management program.
- Ability to communicate well, including sound written and oral communication skills.
