$87,800.00 - $131,700.00

Job Profile Summary: Responsible for defining and documenting policies and procedures related to the standards established by the business that comply with applicable external legislation/regulations but may also reflect a higher standard than the legally required minimum. Activities include employee compliance training and ensuring employee completion of all required courses; auditing compliance with programs & procedures, investigating complaints, and verifying that deficiencies are corrected.

Position Summary: The Compliance Manager is located at the SYGMA site and is responsible for overall compliance activities for that site. Compliance is predominately focused around, but not limited to, managing key processes along with making recommendations on improvement in inventory control and colleague payroll.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage annual and ongoing self-assessment function and oversees continuous review of internal processes to ensure compliance for Inventory Control and Payroll (including Sarbanes/Oxley)
  • Recommend necessary actions to correct those identified.
  • Consistently provide comprehensive audits of internal company operations

Inventory Control -
  • Develop and maintain SYGMA inventory auditing program and guidelines and assume ownership of SYGMA Inventory auditing program and guidelines.
  • Perform necessary audits to ensure accuracy of all inventory records.
  • Evaluate and attest to proficiency of Inventory Control personnel.
  • Identify opportunities within inventory control and reconciliation processes and recommend corrective measures when necessary.
  • Evaluate adherence to established slot maintenance guidelines through consistent review of aisle audit records and visual inspections.
  • Consistently provide Warehouse Manager and Operations leadership with regular assessment of site process compliance and inventory accuracy
  • Develop and recommend process solutions to mitigate inventory loss risk.
  • Perform and publish bi-annual site inventory certification/assessment to ensure execution of daily cycles counts and inventory reconciliation activities*.

(*) Position is responsible for certifying (annually or bi-annually) that the site inventory is accurate, and activities meet or exceed expectations.

Pa yroll -
  • Develop and maintain SYGMA payroll auditing program and guidelines and assume ownership of SYGMA payroll auditing program and guidelines.
  • Perform necessary audits to ensure accuracy of all payroll records.
  • Evaluate and attest to proficiency of payroll processing personnel.
  • Identify opportunities within the payroll process and reconciliation processes and recommend corrective measures when necessary.
  • Consistently provide VP/GM and Operations Department heads with regular assessment of site process compliance and payroll accuracy
  • Develop and recommend process solutions to mitigate payroll loss risk.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Preferred:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or Economics required/preferred.
  • At least 5 years combination of financial analyst and/or accounting experience required.
  • CPA Preferred
  • Prior managerial experience preferred.
  • 1 to 2 years of Supply Chain/Warehouse and Management experience
  • Possess a knowledge of Warehouse Management platforms and Inventory systems.

Professional Skills:
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to create presentation and speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of an organization.
  • Must have exemplary listening skills to facilitate effective two- way communication.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Excel and spreadsheet formulas.
