Job Type/Status: Full Time
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Familiarize and establish collaborative relationships with local community programs and resources for client referrals such as non-profits, religious institutions, and refugee service providers
• Demonstrates knowledge of surrounding community challenges and best practice · research - oriented solutions and the ability to utilize this knowledge to affect changes in the lives of our children, adults and families served.
• Provides support to HSPRS workers with identifying resources for immigrant gap services.
• Maintaining active community resource guides with community partners for community members, HS/PRS workers, and immigrant families.
• Build a network of local pro bono legal resources, food and clothing banks, mental health services and care providers to establish services for youth.
• Coordinate and maintain communication with key stakeholders.
• Maintain confidentiality in all areas of the service population and program operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Preferred Associates Degree in the Behavior Sciences, Human Services, or other relevant social services field or
• High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 1-3 years; experience working with the immigrant/refugee population.
• Bilingual: English/Spanish
• Must have been a licensed driver for at least three years.
• Displays professional demeanor in all interactions with children, adults, and families served, as well as colleagues, and/or community members.
• Provides outstanding customer service in all Agency interactions.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills including, but not limited to, advanced knowledge of English and any other required languages (i.e. meaning and spelling of words, miles of composition, and grammar).
• Strong intercultural competency awareness and skills required as well as commitment to expanding personal and collective knowledge and sensitivity.
• Shows consistent initiative in all position responsibilities including but not limited to, identifying areas of needed improvement, problem solving, and implementing innovative solutions.
• Exercises effective time management skills including, but not limited to, organizing and prioritizing work in order to meet deadlines.
• Must complete all medical testing required by funders and/or licensing or oversight bodies, including but not limited to initial and ongoing: Mantoux Tuberculosis testing which may include an X-ray
• Must pass a physical examination
• Must complete all criminal background checks as required by funders and/or licensing or .oversight bodies, including but not limited to initial and ongoing: Child Abuse Record Check (CARI)
• Additional Federal, State and local criminal checks
