The Role

Are you a proactive individual with strong writing skills that is also meticulous, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment? Fidelity Charitable is looking for someone to support internal and brand communication efforts that will drive alignment and a sense of community throughout the organization, as well as contributing to broader efforts to tell our story externally, including through nonprofit engagement. You will work closely with a variety of internal teams to coordinate messaging and events, as well as help establish processes that drive efficiencies and cohesion!

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• Bachelor's degree preferably in communications, journalism or marketing

• 5-6 years of communications experience either within an agency and/or corporate environment

• Proven skills in writing and creating content that resonates with target audiences

• Diligent and can take an initiative from start to finish

• Experience and a passion for marketing and for thinking through new and innovative ways to reach our audience

• Proven track record of working across teams

• Outstanding ability to manage with influence

• Understanding of tools/software such as PowerPoint and SharePoint

• Knowledge of philanthropy a plus

• Developing and completing internal and external communication deliverables that are in alignment with executive priorities.

• Strong work ethic with a positive attitude

Responsibilities Will Include But Are Not Limited To:

• Presentation support for internal and external meetings

• SharePoint site development, maintenance and updates

• Writing scripts/talking points

• Writing and updating executive bios

• Writing articles, news alerts and other content to support key communications objectives

• Phenomenal collaboration and critical thinking skills as you interact with a variety of internal business units and teams

• Supporting the development of quarterly plans and calendars

• This will include driving nonprofit marketing initiatives

• Participating in employee engagement efforts and support for nonprofit outreach

The Team

You will be part of the Fidelity Charitable marketing team focused on brand and category awareness of smarter giving. The mission of Fidelity Charitable is to grow the American tradition of philanthropy by providing programs that make charitable giving accessible, simple, and effective. Fidelity Charitable is governed by an independent Board of Trustees, which has hired Fidelity Investments as the service provider to the charity. Fidelity Investments provides all of the charitable organization's employees and supports all of its functions: Program Development, Marketing, Service Delivery, Relationship Management, Finance, Technology, Risk and Compliance, and Fundraising.
