Job Description:

• Set up and operate cold heading machines to produce fasteners for regular, new, special, or experimental jobs.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintains a clean machine and organized work area.
• Performs preventative maintenance including lubricating machines when needed.
• Makes minor repairs and notifies maintenance.
• Performs variety of tasks such as counting, cleaning, returning gauges and fixtures, transferring of parts, assembling tooling for next job.
• Completes First Piece Inspection and inspects work in progress using provided gauges necessary and outlined in Quality Standard Operating Procedures and/or work instructions.
• Responsible for quality of own work.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 3+ years’ experience in cold heading/forming.
• Capable of using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.
• Ability to read and write, perform basic arithmetic, and follow verbal and written instructions.
