Daikin Comfort Technologies Manufacturing, L.P. is seeking a skilled individual for our CMM Programmer position at our DTTP - Waller, TX location. The CMM Programmer is responsible for all aspects of maintaining FAI system, including, but not limited to: reviewing protocols, qualification, and validation procedures documented by the organization. The CMM Programmer is expected to follow the procedures and drive consistency of criterion and following best practices across the organization. If a manufactured product does not meet quality specifications, the CMM Programmer reports the findings. Responsibilities:

May include:
  • Perform First Article Inspection and report the result
  • Develop Maintain and generate CMM programs used to inspect variety of parts including sheet metal, plastics, wiring and tubing assembly
  • Assist QA leadership in continuous improvement projects as assigned
  • Document and maintain technical reports and complete all required documentation timely and accurately
  • Bring to the Managers attention, any ideas or opportunities for Quality Improvements
  • Follow all safety procedures including wearing appropriate PPE when required
  • Perform verification/ dimensional inspection as required
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering Department to conduct pilot run validation, BOM auditing, drawing and IO]/Warrant document reviews for new product launches or ECRs
  • Identify potential BOM errors at an early stage of existing product but new revision changes driven by ECRs
  • Assist on training new CMM programmers
  • Assist with other tasks as directed by Quality Leadership

  • Works within well-defined instructions
Qualifications:
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Working knowledge of MS Office – Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word (Proficiency with MS Excel is preferred)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to input data into computer systems or databases and attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawing and must have thorough knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
  • Familiar with use and understanding of basic measurement tools such as Calipers, Micrometer, and Height Gauge
  • Ability to be independent and self-disciplined, allowing for timely audit report submission and follow up
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and prepare statistical information is strongly preferred
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills and ability to establish positive working relationships with internal and external customers. Also, ability to apply strong work ethics and integrity on the job and compliance orientated.
  • Ability to determine, select, align and secure holding fixtures, tooling, measuring probes and other attachments on CMM using hand tools (micrometers, calipers) and precision measuring instruments as required for validation of programs
Experience:
  • 2 years of technical training in HVAC preferred or 2 years of equivalent experience as a CMM Programmer in Manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years’ experience as a CMM programmer for fabrication and/or finished goods production lines
  • Strong understanding of the ISO 9001/14001 requirements
Education:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • College degree or industry related certifications strongly preferred
