DESCRIPTION OF WORK

An employee in this position directs and controls all activities and operations consistent with Department goals and objectives by organizing, directing, planning and coordinating in the following areas: Pavement Design, Pavement Asset Management System (PAMS), Roadway Management System (RMS) support services.

The employee will use sound engineering judgement to assist the District Roadway Asset Management Engineer in developing, formulating, implementing, and maintaining a roadway asset management plan (District 6’s State of the Interstate and Limited Access Highways Report) for all Interstate Highways and Non-Interstate Limited Access Highways within District 6-0 including Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia Counties.

• Full-time employment.
• Work hours are 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
• Travel and overtime may be required.
• Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 5 days per pay period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in King of Prussia.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Four years of professional civil engineering experience which includes three years in the appropriate speciality and one year of experience in directing the work of civil engineers.

Necessary Special Requirement:

• This position requires Possession of a valid Professional Engineer license issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists.

Conditions of Employment:

• This position requires possession of a valid PA Non-commercial driver’s license.

Post Employment Requirement:

• For the Bridges and Transportation parentheticals, successful candidates with an out of state Professional Engineer license will be required to produce a valid Professional Engineer License issued by Pennsylvania within their initial six month probationary period.

• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
