Job Description


AECOM
is seeking a Civil Engineer in the Middleton, WI office.

This position is expected to begin on January 2024.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist traffic engineers and project managers on projects related to traffic operations, safety analysis, traffic impact analyses, and other related traffic engineering work
  • Work under the direct supervision of senior staff to develop traffic models for freeway/intersection transportation improvements
  • Design alternatives for intersections and other transportation improvements based upon guidance from senior staff, client requirements and industry standards
  • Compile, process and assess a variety of data to identify trends and draw conclusions that can be used to enhance operations/maintenance of transportation infrastructure
  • Write technical reports
  • Participate in client meetings to discuss project requirements, explain work, etc.
  • Prepare presentations for meetings.

Qualifications


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous internship experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and conceptual thinking skills
  • Possess strong math skills
  • Ability to prioritize project assignments to meet competing deadlines
  • Attention to detail and effective decision-making and organizational skills
  • Ability to provide support to the local office, as well as availability to occasionally travel to other offices
  • Ability to assist in developing strategic approaches and concepts
