Primarily serving orthopedic practice groups, the Company assumes full management of daily operations at their clients’ physical therapy (“PT”) and occupational therapy (“OT”) clinics. The Company was co-founded in 2011 by CEO Tom Pennington and CFO Phil Clements, accomplished executives with a track record of leading, growing, and driving successful business growth at the helm of rehabilitative care operators. The Company has offices in Bowling Green, KY and
Elizabethtown, KY (Louisville MSA) with 220+ full-time PRS employees and 540+ managed employees, currently managing ~75 clinic locations across the country.

Position Overview:
Background: The company has scaled significantly since inception and operating at a trajectory that is expected to continue, if not elevate, over the next several years.
The number of PRS employees and managed staff is increasing at a similar rate, consistently expanding the company’s human resources, recruiting, and talent management responsibilities. PRS is creating a new position on its management team, the Chief People Officer, to lead all people functions and drive effective people strategies to maximize company performance.
The position requires a performance-oriented individual with a mind for people- centric solutions. This individual will be accountable for designing, educating, deploying and maintaining excellence in the areas of recruiting, compensation, benefits, systems, talent management, talent retention, employee relations, learning and development, diversity and inclusion, performance management, and compliance. Given PRS’ need for performance throughout all stages of growth, the optimal candidate understands how to assess, design, and motivate personnel to support near-term and long-term commercial goals.
The candidate will take ownership of building a team that is aligned with the PRS
Values, know how to maintain the culture that makes PRS special, and be capable of scaling the team to a much larger workforce across the country. The optimal candidate has had positions in human resources, recruiting, and/or talent management within a multi-site, outpatient rehabilitation company.
Responsibilities:
The Chief People Officer will be leading all people initiatives, with high level responsibilities including:
- Talent: assess and optimize recruiting processes, candidate evaluations, interview best practices, third party recruiter base, and talent management KPIs
- Learning and Development: create learning and development programs to foster employee growth and prepare individuals to assume increased responsibility as the company scales.
- Performance Management: assess and improve performance criteria, manage reviews, promote candid feedback, and establish standards that drive excellence for PRS.
- Culture and Employee Experience: maintain and improve the PRS culture, ensuring cultural consistency as PRS scales its corporate and clinical employee base.
- Organizational Assessment and Design: educate, advise, and influence other PRS executives on organizational design, development, competency, and planning.
- Compensation and Benefits: assess, improve, and manage a competitive compensation program for employees that aligns incentives with performance and PRS success.

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience in the Physical and/or Occupational Therapy field.
- 5+ years’ of Executive level experience (Vice President or Officer level)-required.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Organizational Development, Business Administration or equivalent required – required.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience Proven operational experience in staff development, training, and supervision: ideally has worked in a leadership role using performance management and metrics for success; proven ability to develop and lead diverse work teams across multi-functional areas- required.
- Health Care experience - required.
- SHRM or HRCI certifications - preferred
- Master’s Degree, including but not limited to a Master of Science in Human Resources or MBA– preferred.
Office Location:
Remote from home location, with ability to travel to national locations.
