Proclinical is seeking an Analytical Scientist for a top pharmaceutical company. This is a contract role located in North Chicago, IL.

Must be eligible to work in the US.

Job Responsibilities:

• Investigate, identify, and develop new synthetic methodology to a target small molecule organic compound.
• Responsible foe the development, optimization and potential scale up of a small molecule synthetic target
• Optimize reaction conditions to provide yield and purity improvements.
• Generate reliable and reproducible data in a timely manner.
• Read and adapt scientific literature to accomplish assignments and demonstrate broad and versatile technical expertise within discipline.
• Conduct structural characterization via HPLC. NMR, MS
• Conduct multiple isolation and purification techniques of small molecule organic compounds.

Skills and Requirements:

• Master's Degree in chemistry or similar discipline with 5+ years of experience OR
• PhD in chemistry or similar discipline
• Strong synthetic lab skills
• Hands on HPLC, MS, and NMR experience
• Experience with biocatalysis
