Michigan Pain Consultants (ProCare Pain Solutions) is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant for the Heritage Point clinic! The Medical Assistant (MA) functions in a clinical and administrative support role to assist the health care professional to ensure the delivery of quality health care services. The MA works under the supervision and direction of the Registered Nurse. The MA reports to the Clinical Manager.

REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Minimum: Certified/Registered Medical Assistant, Must maintain license/certification

Work Experience:
Minimum: One-year recent, relevant experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide safe patient care

Report facts with accuracy, follow instructions, and complete assignments independently

Collect patient assessment data pertaining to the physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and learning needs of the patient utilizing effective communication skills

Provide patient care, direct and indirect, under the supervision of the RN and in accordance with the practice standards

Follow appropriate standards, policies and procedures to provide optimal patient care

Perform efficiently in emergency situations following established standards, remaining calm, informing appropriate persons, and documenting events
