We are currently looking for full-time Certified Medical Assistant for our Tacoma office.

We are seeking a certified medical assistant who is organized, self-motivated, and has expertise in customer service.
A Medical Assistant, is responsible for assisting Doctors and Nurses in providing care to their patients. As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical clinic. Medical Assistants rely on technical skills, so they understand how to use equipment to take patient vital signs. Their duties include recording and updating medical histories and contact information in patient files, scheduling patient appointments and performing standard care procedures like drawing blood, checking vitals or collecting lab samples. They should also be detail-oriented, as they must enter all patient data accurately in their records so doctors and insurance companies can refer to them. Medical Assistants should also have interpersonal skills so they can work with patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication.

Responsibilities
- Interview patients and build basic medical charts
- Organize and schedule appointments and laboratory services
- Answer phone calls
- Update and maintain medical records through data entry
- Assist/Prepare patients for examinations
- Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
- Handle receivable and payable accounts and keep financial records
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
Skills
- Prior working experience as a medical assistant (New Grads Welcome)
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Certificate in medical assistance
