You must have a CDM and at least 1 year as a Dietary Manager in a Skilled Nursing Facility/Nursing Home to be considered for this position.
Arden Park Post Acute is looking for an experienced Dietary Manager to join our team.
Purpose: To ensure our patrons receive a safe, individualized, and quality nutritional services on a daily basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct nutrition screening, assessment, education, and therapy according to physician’s orders and in compliance with Federal and State laws, and Company requirements
- Timely and accurately provide nutritious meals and supplements catered to clients
- Implement and revise menus to meet the residents’ needs as needed
- Review current systems in place pertaining to preparation and service of resident meals, and make modifications as necessary
- Develop in-service and orientation programs for Food service personnel
- Evaluate department on a regular basis to ensure compliance with State and Federal health department regulation
- Work with other resident services according to total Care Plan approach
- Maintain a safe and sanitary working environment
- Maintain all records and documentations according to Federal, State and Company requirements
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma.
- Must have, as a minimum 1year of experience in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility
- Must have training in cost control, food management, diet therapy, etc.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must be knowledgeable of food services practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations and guidelines governing food services functions in nursing care facilities.
- Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
- Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc., of the Food Services Department.
- Maintain professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.
- Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
- Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
- Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance training
Physical Capacities: (With or Without the Aid of Mechanical Devices)
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
- Possible bending, squatting, twisting and reaching
- Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met
- Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility
- Must be able to stand for and walk for extended periods of time
- Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress related to working with persons who are ill, disabled, elderly and/or emotionally upset, and/or memory impaired.
- Must be able to manage resident behavior that includes verbal outbursts, combative behavior, striking out, and memory impairment
Environmental Conditions: Inside work, normal kitchen-based temperatures, noise, fumes and odors. Minimal potential of exposure to bodily fluids.

Pay: $38.00 - $42.00 per hour
