Job Title: Centerless Grinding Operator I
Department: Guidewires
Reports To: Production Supervisor
FLSA Class: Non-Exempt
1. Job Summary
A Centerless Grinding I is an entry level operator position in the Guidewires Centerless Grinding area.
2. Essential Duties and responsibilities
Key Functions:
-Read and understand all MD’s, QC’s & SOP’s related to the department and operator position.
-Read, understand and enforce all standards concerning Quality and Safety.
-Learn and be able to fill out the proper documentation related to product inspection, process verification and DHR’s.
-Learn and be able to complete the basic daily, monthly and quarterly PM and 5S standards for the equipment.
-Learn and be able to set up and operate equipment.
-Learn and be able to set up and change fixtures.
-Learn and be able to troubleshoot and resolve basic maintenance issues for equipment.
-Learn the process for various products produced in the department.
Other responsibilities:
-Assist with other job tasks as required by the relief, lead or supervisor.

5. Qualifications
A. Education and/or Experience
Level 3: High school diploma, or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
B. Language Skills
Level 3: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
C. Mathematical Skills
Level 2: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
D. Reasoning Ability
Level 3: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
