Job description

East Meets West Catering is looking for part time individuals to join their events team! This is a part time position, with the ability to pick up full time hours during peak season. Ideal candidates will have flexibility in their schedules and looking for part time hours.

Previous catering experience a plus, but not required.

Essential Functions

• Set up and breakdown of all function table linens, china, silverware, glassware, centerpieces.
• Take initiative to greet guests and staff in a friendly and warm manner.
• Serve all food and beverages to patrons according to established ruled of etiquette.
• Clear away all dishes, linens, and items used in the service of an event.
• Ensure proper storage of all items, from equipment to perishable foods.
• Follow Health and Safety practices at all times.
• Maintain work areas in a clean and orderly fashion.

• Excellent communication and service skills
• Ability to follow and execute directions in an efficient and timely manner
• Outgoing, a team player, and capable of working in a fast paced environment with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
• A can-do attitude
• Professional appearance, behavior, posture and hygiene..
• TIPS Certification a plus!

Physical Demands

The employee is required to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 55 pounds or less on a regular basis.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

• This is a part time hourly position
• Requires a willingness to commit to working 2-3 Saturdays in May, June and December.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive hourly rate
