Join our fun, high energy team at Catering by Uptown. Catering by Uptown is a family-owned all-inclusive event company which owns and operates several prominent waterfront wedding venues in Maryland.
We are seeking individuals who love planning and are looking to grow their careers in the wedding and events industry. Strongly considering candidates who possess the following qualities: detail-oriented, kind and welcoming, swift problem solver, efficient, respectful, punctual, and genuine.
Working 5 days a week approximately 40-50 hours a week. Hourly pay starting $20/hour -$23/hour depending on experience. Benefits include medical insurance covered 50% by employer, Paid Time Off, Sick leave, Dental/Vision paid 100%, Term Life paid 100%, other affordable insurance available.
Your day will include:
- Meet with wedding couples, and document their event details
- Host tasting appointments and assist clients in building their event details
- Create our clients event timelines and floor plans
- Host venue tours
- Prepare all necessary paperwork for the event production team
- Answer client emails and phone calls daily
- Occasionally may be tasked with coordinating events and/or rehearsals from start to finish
- Ability to work some weekends
