Home Health Aide Wanted!

Our healthcare agency is seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Health Aide to join our team. As a Home Health Aide, you will work with patients who require assistance with daily activities due to age, illness, disability, or injury. Your role will be critical in helping patients maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Prepare meals according to patients' dietary requirements and assist with feeding if necessary.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, and laundry.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, helping to reduce loneliness and isolation.
• Maintain accurate records of the care provided, including vital signs, medication administration, and changes in the patient's condition.
• Communicate with patients, family members, and healthcare providers to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification by a state-approved program, which typically requires a minimum of 75 hours of training and passing a competency exam.
• Excellent communication skills, patience, and compassion.
• Ability to work independently, follow directions, and prioritize tasks.
• Physical ability to lift and transfer patients, as well as stand, walk, and bend for long periods.
• Ability to pass a Level II background check

Working Conditions:

• Work in patients' homes, which can be physically demanding and emotionally challenging.
• May work full-time or part-time, depending on the needs of their patients.
• May work with patients who have a variety of conditions, including dementia, chronic illness, and mobility issues.
• May work alone or as part of a team.
