PROMAN Skilled Trades is seeking experienced Cable Technicians for a variety of construction projects in the Houston, TX area. Candidates should have some experience either installing, programming or troubleshooting commercial low voltage wiring systems in one of the following verticals: Structured cabling, Security, Fire Alarm or Audio/Visual. We’re looking for reliable and hard-working techs.

Responsibilities

• Pull, terminate and test CAT5 or CAT6 cable in commercial environments
• Experience installing support structures (trapeze style supports for conduit, basket trays, j-hooks, etc.)
• Pull, terminate, splice and test fiber optic cable in both OSP and ISP settings
• Install, program and maintain Access Control devices and head end components (mag locks, card readers, door contacts, panels)
• Install, program and maintain Security systems and head end components (CCTV, switches, alarms, motion detectors, panels, etc.)
• Install, program and maintain Fire Alarm devices and head end components (Smoke detectors, pull stations, sirens, strobes, panels, etc.)
• Install, program and maintain Audio Visual devices and head end components (Smart boards, TV’s, video walls, projectors, speakers, building automation, etc.)

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of commercial construction and/or service experience in the Low Voltage field
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics
• Ability to work on scissor and boom lifts preferred
• OSHA 10 required on some projects
• Must own tools and have reliable transportation
