STS Aerospace / Scotia Technology in Laconia, NH is searching for a Buyer to join the team. This position is responsible for purchasing materials, supplies, and equipment for the manufacturing of aerospace assemblies.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and with reasonable accommodation when necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinates all activities related to procurement of a commodity from purchase to delivery.
• Solicits and evaluates proposals for the requested commodity.
• Identify preferred suppliers to satisfy quality standards for our manufactured pieces.
• Negotiates cost and contracts for goods
• Maintains timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to assure accurate retention of records.
• Manages inventory liabilities.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Ensure all company safety policies are followed
• Regularly and consistently to work on time
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

EXPERIENCE

• 2-5 years in planning or prior manufacturing experience
