Budtender

A leading cannabis company in Montana is hiring a new budtender!

Please Note: You must have a Montana Medical Marijuana Program Agent License and Badge to work for the company. This can be done at: https://tap.dor.mt.gov/_/ (for new or renewing past license). The company will reimburse the cost of the Montana Medical Marijuana Program Agent License.

Schedule: Varied Schedule

Rate of Pay: $17/hour plus tips!

Job Overview: We are currently seeking knowledgeable & experienced team members to provide excellent customer service while helping clients select suitable cannabis products to fit their cannabis needs.

A budtender should be customer service-focused, approachable, and able to answer questions regarding different strains of cannabis, their medicinal properties & the varying methods of consumption to reach the desired effect. Budtenders should keep informed of developments in cannabis laws and understand how to stay compliant with them. Budtenders should have excellent communication & customer service skills, a positive & upbeat attitude & the ability to keep the company patients well informed.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Greeting & welcoming customers
• Informing the manager of customer complaints or operational issues
• Sharing personal experiences of our cannabis products to aid in addressing customer questions & concerns.
• Advising patients on suitable cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, budgets & strains.
• Processing customers payments using company point of sale system.
• Ensuring that the dispensary be clean and organized at all times.
• Educating patients on the safe use of their selected cannabis products & paraphernalia.
• Correctly weighing, packaging, and labeling cannabis products in accordance of state law.
• Checking patient medical documents & identification to ensure they are a currently registered patient.
• Taking inventory of cannabis products and ensuring the saleroom is adequately stocked.

Qualifications:

• 18 years or older
• 2 years + experience in retail/customer service
• Sound knowledge on cannabis strains & their benefits
• High school diploma/GED
• A valid Montana Medical Marijuana Program Agent License and Badge
• Ability to communicate effectively with all coworkers and staff.
• Ability to follow Company policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work & stand for extended periods of time as well as do some heavy lifting (at least 50 lbs.)
• Ability to work a varied schedule; weekends & holidays as needed.
• A valid Montana Medical Marijuana Program Agent License and Badge
• Exceptional communication, custom & organizational skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• The position must occasionally lift, push, pull and /or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, this position is occasionally required to sit and regularly use hand(s) to handle, grasp, feel, and or touch. This position is regularly required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms.
• Willing and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
• Able to stand/walk for up to 8-12 hours
• Must be able to climb ladders
• Able to work in an environment where the temperature may vary between 60 and 90 degrees

Job Type: Part-time and Full-time

Salary: $17.00 per hour

Weekly day range:

• Weekend availability
