Position: Brand Manager
Reports to: Managing Director, Communications and Brand
Status: Full Time; Exempt
Location: US Based Home Office

Facing History and Ourselves is a global education non-profit organization that challenges teachers and students to use lessons of history to stand up to bigotry and hate.
We are seeking a mission-driven marketing professional with strong creative, organizational and project management skills to support marketing and brand across the organization. The role of the Brand Manager is a highly collaborative position, partnering with team members, as well as various staff across the organization’s various departments and geographies for the purpose of creating brand alignment and executing marketing plans.
Applicants will be asked to submit a portfolio of work with at least 2 types of visual/multimedia assets. Occasional travel for in-person team work sessions.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
In partnership with the Director of Brand Marketing, support the planning and implementation of marketing plans to ensure they are carried out according to specifications and on schedule.
Ensure implementation of consistent brand guidelines, including production of templates and collateral.
Leverage brand audits to drive continuous improvement across platforms.
In collaboration with other creative professionals, oversee design for digital platforms, reports and products.
Develop media campaigns in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications team and other creative professionals that elevate our values and work to educators, and school district leaders, as well as influencing new and broader sets of stakeholders including students, parents, educators, and policymakers.

BA/BS or equivalent
3-5 years of relevant experience in similar roles
Knowledge of the principles and application of visual design
Experience using project management tools to track projects, tasks and priorities.
Adept at using technology, especially Adobe Creative Suite and Google applications
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
Excellent communication, listening, and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and tasks
Proactive self-starter; strong attention to detail; experience working in a busy hybrid work environment a plus
Solutions focused individual who is comfortable asking questions, searching for answers, and gaining clarity when needed
Strong analytic and systems thinking necessary to interpret data to inform goals and strategy
Ability to coordinate and manage complex cross-functional projects with multiple competing priorities or perspectives
Ability to manage ambiguity, risk, and changing direction of projects and strategies
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and management skills and high professional standards for work quality

Hybrid Work Model (For HQ): Facing History and Ourselves operates in a hybrid work model, allowing staff flexibility in both schedules and work locations. This particular position is home-based. Some travel may be required.
