We have received funding to grow our bilingual team. This position is for a bilingual (English/Spanish) person to provide counseling, advocacy, and outreach services to Hispanic/Latinx and Spanish-speaking individuals in our service area. The staff member must have excellent Spanish and English speaking skills.

Safe Journeys provides free, confidential support for survivors of domestic and sexual violence in LaSalle and Livingston Counties.

This position will provide outreach to our Hispanic/Latinx and Spanish-speaking communities to provide information on domestic violence and on our services, provide advocacy services to walk with individuals through the court process & to access needed resources, and provide counseling services to all ages.

We prefer that the Bilingual Advocate have at least a bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related human services field. If the Advocate does not have this education, they should have comparable work history related to job duties. It is required that the applicant be bilingual (Spanish/English).
