This position is responsible for administration of the benefit programs for a multi-location, long term healthcare company. Responsibilities include administration of the employee benefits program, communication with internal and external customers, support of the operations team for benefit related questions, and other special projects. Specific Roles and Duties:
1. Administer all benefit audits, including monthly eligibility and enrollment tracking, benefit terminations, benefit reporting and invoice audit.
2. Communicate appropriately all benefit plan information to eligible employees.
3. Act as point of contact for employee benefit-related questions/issues and respond in a timely manner.
4. Manage benefit enrollment information between HRIS and benefit vendors.
5. Collaborate with payroll and ensure that payroll deductions and employer contributions are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
6. Ensure that employee electronic benefit records are updated, accurate and in accordance with federal, state, and provider regulations.
7. Periodically evaluate the efficiency and value of current benefit programs and vendors and make recommendations for improvement.
8. Manage and support the annual open enrollment process.
9. Administer other employee benefits, including the 401(k) plan, FMLA process and disability claims, and workers’ compensation injuries and claims.
Requirements and skills
1. Proven experience in employee benefits.
2. Working knowledge of employee benefit plans, benefit policies and related regulations.
3. Familiarity with benefits enrollment software/ HRIS (specifically Paycom, or others such as Zenefits, Gusto or EverythingBenefits) and MS Office (especially Excel).
4. Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and oral).
6. Team player.
Education and Experience:
Two-year associate degree preferred but not required.
2+ years of benefits administration experience.
