CAROLINA GROVE WEDDING VENUE - BAR MANAGER

Primary responsibilities:

• Order liquor, wine, beer and other bar-related supplies for each event
• Maintain onsite alcohol inventory
• Help clients select their bar packages and alcohol selections
• Create or suggest custom cocktails + signature recipes
• Schedule employee shifts and ensure each event is staffed appropriately
• Ensure bar areas are well-stocked and clean, bar materials + tools are ready for each event
• Monitor costs and consumption levels, take inventory
• Oversee bar planning for special events
• Oversee staff, including bartenders and barbacks, appropriately delegate tasks
• Support venue staff and other event vendors in the space to ensure a cohesive team and a seamless event experience
• Ensure all legal requirements are being met at each event
• Ensure a safe bar atmosphere and help with security as needed

Requirements:

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2+ years experience in hospitality, weddings, catering or bar service, ideally working with large events
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time and lift 40 lb items as needed
• Willingness to work during peak hours, including nights, weekends and holidays

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
