Job description

We're a speciality coffeehouse in Ossining, NY (40 miles north of NYC). We partner with the top specialty roasters from around the country and merge quality coffee with an exceptional customer experience. As part of that, we have a bakery that services the coffee shop with craft pastries, including a line of vegan baked goods, custom cakes, and wholesale orders.

We are looking for an assistant baker to help our head baker.

Your responsibilities will include:

Following proper sanitation guidelines

Preparing baked goods, preparing fillings and batters, and keeping the workspace clean, including dishes and pans.

Must have a willing attitude, be reliable and take pride in your work, and be flexible. Early mornings are required and you must have extra availability on days leading up to holidays.

We expect you to have:

Good communication skills

Planning and time management skills

A strong teamwork orientation and the ability to follow directions

Uphold and follow safety, food safety, and production quality standards

The ability to work with minimal supervision

You must be able to:

Stand for several hours a day
Frequently and continuously lift 5 - 10 pounds
Comfortably lift 25 pounds
Occasionally lift 50+ pounds

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
