Automotive Business Analyst

The Novelis North America (NNA) team is seeking an Automotive Business Analyst. The person in this role will report to our Business Integration Manager for Product Management- North American Automotive Value Stream (VS), the Business Analyst is responsible for identifying transactional pricing and costs-to-serve opportunities, support product simplification activities, support administrative interfaces in supply chain and production workflows, and lead market risk outlook development. The role is also responsible for providing strategic analytical support on offer development, sales plans, and asset loading working with the regional and global Automotive commercial teams.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Responsibilities
  • Publish and maintain a monthly summary of North America automotive market outlook
  • Support maintenance of the product efficiency and costs-to-serve models in CPQ to support Product Management objective of growing product line contribution.
  • Support R&D to build case behind the global Auto product roadmap implementation in North America.
  • Lead competitive positioning analysis by product by application to substantiate differentiated pricing.
  • Facilitate and improve pricing administration workflow to ensure robust transactional pricing performance collaborating with Finance and Supply Chain.
  • Facilitate and improve MDM administration workflow to ensure robust transactional pricing performance collaborating with Commercial and Technical development teams
  • Supervise and analyze pricing performance (critical metrics, variance, price bands, price-volume-mix, pocket price waterfalls) to identify profit improvement opportunities by product by segment by application.
  • Support regional Business Development team in development of Fact Base and requests for capital authorizations to support Automotive VS growth plans.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in product management and business analysis related experience in operations, preferably in industrial manufacturing environment
  • Operations experience and strong technical background strongly preferred
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate well with senior leaders, technical staff, sales, and other business authorities.
  • Ability to travel to customer and plant locations
