At Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo), located in Richland, Washington, we are working to provide a sustainable future for the historic Hanford area through the protection of the Columbia River and the remediation of the Central Plateau. Our team is seeking a Senior Auditor to provide support in the following areas:
- Conducting audits, studies, surveys, reviews, and any other evaluations/assessments of financial and/or operational activities as scheduled or otherwise requested by management.
- Reviewing reliability and integrity of financial and operating information and the means used to identify, measure, classify and report such information.
- Reviewing significant systems established to ensure compliance with company policies, plans and procedures; laws and regulations; client requirements; and prudent business practices.
- Documenting and evaluating internal controls through review of written procedures, interviews, audit tests, flowcharting, etc.
- Performing and documenting audit tests utilizing standard audit techniques.
- Functioning in a highly professional and confidential manner, maintaining independence and objectivity from the function audited, in compliance with internal auditing standards and ethics.
- Peer reviews work performed by other staff auditors to ensure adequacy of audit scope and documentation, significance of audit findings and soundness of recommendations.
- Supervisor/Lead experience working in a team environment to deliver quality audits/reports on time.
- Performing reviews of auditor work products including risk assessments, planning, fieldwork and reporting.
- Extensive experience with audit processes and tools to ensure standards are met.
- Strong communication skills demonstrated at all levels of management.
- Preparation of board level presentations and Department of Energy communications/reports.
Basic Qualifications
* US Citizen
- Senior Level Grade 18: BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
- Principal Level Grade 20: BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.
Desired Qualifications
* Accounting or training and supervisory roles.
- 3 years performing control evaluations, incurred cost, rates and supporting audits of Government related prime, subcontracts or grants.
- Equivalent work experience with cost accounting and rates can substitute for 3 years of Government experience.
- Experience with the operation of a structured control environment and assessments of control designs and testing.
- Dedicated professional that demonstrates desired leadership attributes and behaviors through working relationships and delivery of quality audit products.
- Served as lead or reviewer over less senior audit team members.
- Application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), professional Auditing Standards and Techniques or CPA license or Internal audit certification.
- Understand legal requirements and perspective of Department of Justice (DOJ) as applied to False Claims Act and auditing.
- Working knowledge and experience with the application of Federal Acquisition Regulations and Cost Accounting Standards to effectively interface with the US Government customer.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Master's degree in accounting, Business or related field. General knowledge of Hanford Site plans, policies and procedures, priorities, organizations, operating and accounting systems.
- Experience with data analytics and use of relational data base applications/tools.
- Experience as a Certified Public Accountant or supervisory level work in a Public Auditing Firm or in a nuclear facility.
- Certified Internal Audit (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) is preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.
Expected annualized pay range based on full time schedule (40 hours per week):
Senior Level Grade 18: $101,525 - $128,075
Principal Level Grade 20: $122,813 - $154,838
In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
