Position location: We're all about flexibility! This will be a
remote role.
This position’s responsibilities include:

Works across Corporate and plant Quality teams, product development, packaging engineering, process engineering, procurement and other cross-functional teams to support commissioning protocols including sampling plans, risk assessments (raw materials, micro, processes, facility) and compliance to OSC Quality Operating Standards as well as Federal (FSMA), State and local regulations.

Helps with reviews and analysis of Food Safety and Quality technical documentation from internal cross-functional teams, external partners (i.e. copackers, warehouses, transportation, etc.), suppliers (i.e. ingredient and packaging), certifying agencies/Identity Preserved Foods (i.e. organic, Halal, Kosher, etc.) and other relevant organizations. This assessment includes but not limited to HACCP plans, 3rd party audits, surveys, sanitation, pest control, plant pre-requisite programs and all other related food safety and quality programs.

Participates in the development and/or technical review of related Food Safety and Quality policies, procedures, standards, instructions, forms and reports/records. Ensures that the Corporate Quality site is maintained with the required documentation for OSC approved internal manufacturing network, external partners or suppliers.

Supports the utilization of statistical techniques to quantify and monitor capability of internal manufacturing network, external partners or suppliers to meet raw material or product specifications. Assists in preparing quality guidance including statistical tools and training material for internal and external cross-functional teams.

Helps with FSQA issue resolutions, customer complaints and customer requests in a timely manner. Uses problem solving techniques to work with plants, suppliers, engineer, R&D, legal and procurement resources on each incident. Supports specific incidents to properly document investigation, root cause, corrective action and preventive actions.

Oversees performance metrics for internal manufacturing network, external partners or supplier. Creates and generates performance reports to drive continuous improvement. If applicable, conducts visits and/or audits as identified by the annual risk-based audit program or identifies areas of microbial risk and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's Degree required

1+ years related experience working with manufacturing, suppliers and audits

Excellent collaborative and problem solving skills. A strong, broad technical background with expertise in the areas of, Quality Systems, Process Control and Auditing Protocols

Previous work experience in manufacturing and is familiar with food manufacturing

Well versed in FSMA, FDA, GFSI and other regulations

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required with specific skills in the area of policy and procedure development and documentation

Technical writing experience with procedures and audit reports
- Travel time: 25-50%
Salary: $45,200 ‐ $59,600 per year
