This opportunity to join the Department of Pediatrics at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons at the rank of Associate Research Scientist is an exciting one. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Associate Research Scientist in our program, the candidate will be doing research focused on protein-membrane interactions. Candidate will apply techniques including peptide and small molecule synthesis and focus is the use of cryo-electron tomography-focused structural analysis of enveloped viral surface glycoproteins to test mechanistic hypotheses about viral fusion and entry.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a doctorate degree (M.D. or Ph.D.)
2-3 years of postdoctoral training
Consistently strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and sustain effective working relationships with professionals in other disciplines.
The ability to create a high-energy results-oriented work environment that encourages colleagues and staff to value each others contributions; and
The ability to share and celebrate success with colleagues and staff.

Hiring Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
