The Goddard School is seeking assistant teachers to start immediately at our Murray Hill location. There are openings in multiple age groups including infants, pre-toddlers, toddlers and preschool.

This brand new, state-of-the-art preschool facility has;

  • 13 classrooms
  • All classrooms equipped with phones, Apple iPad’s & Bluetooth speakers
  • Fully stocked supplies room including arts & crafts
  • On site indoor gym and outdoor play space
  • Face recognition for school entry

As an Employee, you will receive the following Benefits:

  • Twenty-Seven (27) paid personal days (Yes 27!!!) per year as follows:
  • Ten (10) paid personal days per calendar year
  • Five (5) paid personal days between Christmas and New Year's Day when the school is closed
  • Seven (7) paid holidays per calendar year.
  • Five (5) sick days per year (available to all employees, accrual starts with no waiting period)
  • Up to 100% tuition reimbursement subject to performance and commitment to work for a specified period.
  • Employer will offer and pay for health insurance cost including dental and vision insurance making insurance extremely affordable to employees.

Educational Qualifications

A teacher for the toddler program shall be at least 21 years of age and have the following qualifications in addition to any/all requirements that may be mandated by their state and/or local licensing authorities:

(1) Associate's (AA or AS) degree in early childhood education; or

(2) Child Development Associate (CDA) certification and a study plan leading to an associate's degree in early childhood education within seven years; or

(3) High school diploma or equivalent (GED); nine college credits in early childhood education or child development; two years’ experience caring for children, and a study plan leading to an associate's degree in early childhood education within seven years; or

(4) High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and five years of supervised experience in a permitted child care program; or

(5) High school diploma or equivalent (GED); and a study plan that is acceptable to the Department leading to nine credits in early childhood education or childhood development within two years; and a study plan leading to an associate's degree in early childhood education within seven years, if currently employed in a permitted child care program.

Teacher Responsibilities

  • Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment
  • Supporting each child’s social and emotional development
  • Establishing positive and effective family relations and communication
  • Writing and implementing creative, engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans
  • Maintaining routine and structure in the classroom

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
